But everything that was said is not true. There are so many lies in most of the things that were said,\u201d Okafor said, adding that he was ready to make amends to anyone he had offended. \u201cTo Doris Ogala, I also say sorry. I am ready to make restitution,\u201d he stated.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Okafor knelt before his congregation as he appealed for public forgiveness, saying, \u201cI\u2019m kneeling down before everyone,\u00a0 Forgive me. You can judge me. Pray for me,\u201d underscoring his call for reconciliation and prayers.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The dispute reportedly began after Ogala accused the cleric of breaching an alleged promise to marry her and later marrying another woman.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0Through her lawyers at Synergy Law Partners, she earlier demanded N1 billion in damages, citing emotional distress, reputational harm, and financial loss.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Responding to Okafor\u2019s apology on social media, Ogala wrote that she had accepted his apology but also disputed his claim that \u201ceverything\u201d she said was untrue.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u201cChris Okafor, I forgive you, but there\u2019s a problem. Where you said everything is a lie.
