{"id":124682,"date":"2025-12-30T11:27:38","date_gmt":"2025-12-30T10:27:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=124682"},"modified":"2025-12-30T11:27:38","modified_gmt":"2025-12-30T10:27:38","slug":"two-dead-as-anthony-joshuas-car-crashes-in-ogun","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/two-dead-as-anthony-joshuas-car-crashes-in-ogun\/","title":{"rendered":"Two dead as Anthony Joshua\u2019s car crashes in Ogun"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">By Oscar Okhifo<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">At least two persons have been confirmed dead following a road accident involving the convoy of renowned British-Nigerian heavyweight boxer, Anthony Joshua, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in Ogun State.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The accident occurred at Makun, near the Sagamu Interchange, on the Ibadan-bound axis of the busy highway.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Confirming the incident, the Ogun State Police Command said the vehicle conveying Joshua collided with another vehicle under circumstances that are still being investigated.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Police spokesperson, Babaseyi Oluseyi, said the boxer sustained minor injuries and is receiving medical attention.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe Ogun State Police Command confirms that world-renowned boxer, Anthony Joshua, was involved in a road traffic accident on Monday in Makun, Ogun State,\u201d Oluseyi said.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">She added, \u201cThe vehicle conveying Anthony Joshua was involved in the accident under circumstances that are currently being investigated. He sustained minor injuries and is receiving medical attention.\u201d<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The police spokesperson disclosed that the crash claimed lives.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cTragically, two other persons lost their lives at the scene of the accident.
