{"id":124776,"date":"2026-01-05T07:48:50","date_gmt":"2026-01-05T06:48:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=124776"},"modified":"2026-01-05T07:48:50","modified_gmt":"2026-01-05T06:48:50","slug":"actor-accuses-saboteurs-of-plotting-against-adc-defends-obi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/actor-accuses-saboteurs-of-plotting-against-adc-defends-obi\/","title":{"rendered":"Actor Accuses Saboteurs of Plotting Against ADC, Defends Obi"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">By Oscar Okhifo<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Popular Nollywood actor, Ugenzu Jideofor\u00a0 Ugenzu, popularly known as Ugenzu Ugenzu has alleged that individuals he described as political saboteurs are regrouping to undermine the African Democratic Congress (ADC), following what he claimed was their earlier role in destabilizing the Labour Party (LP).<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">In a strongly worded statement shared on his social media platforms, Ugenzu dismissed allegations that former Anambra State governor, Peter Obi (PO), was responsible for the internal crisis that rocked the Labour Party, describing such claims as an act of projection by those he accused of causing the problems.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The actor said the same group that fueled the crisis in LP had expected Obi to clean up the mess they created, only to later accuse him of destroying the party.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0According to him, \u201cthe same leprous fingers that fueled the crisis in LP and then expected an innocent PO to clean up their mess have now regrouped, mutating into a leprous octopus bent on destroying ADC.\u201d<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ugenzu argued that the accusations against Obi were part of a familiar pattern in Nigerian politics, noting that \u201cin a stunning act of projection, they now allege that PO destroyed LP and will destroy ADC.\u201d<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">He added that \u201cthe truth is simple: those who sabotage institutions inevitably search for scapegoats.\u201d<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">He further warned that political power is fleeting, stressing that \u201cpower is transient.\u201d<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Nollywood actor clarified that he was not a politician and had no partisan ambition.\u00a0 \u201cI am not a politician.
