It dismissed the alleged health scare as unfounded and urged the public to disregard what it called speculative reports.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">The anti-corruption agency stated that El-Rufai\u2019s detention is connected to an ongoing investigation into allegations within its mandate, stressing that the action is procedural and not punitive. It explained that his continued stay in custody is to enable investigators conclude inquiries without interference.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the Commission, due process is being strictly observed, and the former governor has been cooperating with investigators as the probe progresses.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe attention of the Commission has been drawn to reports alleging that the former governor suffered a nosebleed in detention. The claim is untrue.
