The Chief Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice John Tsoho, has approved the posting schedule for judges of the court to judicial divisions across the country.<\/p>\n
The postings followed the recent appointment of 14 new judges and the reposting of three existing judges of the court.<\/p>\n
The Chief Judge directed all affected judges to report to their respective new stations on Wednesday, 13th May, 2026.<\/p>\n
A statement by the Director of Information of the Court, Dr Catherine Oby Christopher on Friday indicated that Justice Hassan Dikko was posted to Gusau in Zamfara State; Salim Olasupo Ibrahim and Onah Chigozie Sergius to stay in Abuja while Justice Sulaiman Amida Hassan was moved to Osogbo in Osun State.<\/p>\n
Similarly, Justice Muhammad Barau Saidu (Minna, Niger State); Justice Igboko Chinelo Conchita (Akure, Ondo State); Justice Onuegbu Chioma Angela (Yenagoa, Bayelsa State); Justice Galumje Edingah (Abakaliki, Ebonyi State); and Justice Ibrahim Vera Eneabo (Gombe, Gombe State).<\/p>\n
Further, the Chief Judge moved Justice Abubakar Musa Usman to Ado-Ekiti in Ekiti State; Justice Salihu Aisha Yunusa (Damaturu, Yobe State); Justice Ikpeme Joy Bassey (Uyo, Akwa Ibom State) and Justice Shehu Umaru Adamu (Maiduguri, Borno State)<\/p>\n
Others are Justice Mohammed Ibrahim Buba (Dutse, Jigawa State); Justice Binjin-Eigegbe Nendelmum Judith (Lokoja, Kogi State); and Justices Usoro Kuyik Uduak and Nwoye Osinachi Donatus (both Lagos State).<\/p>\n
Recall that 14 new judges were appointed for the high court to enable it cope with volume of cases that may arise in the pre and post conduct of the 2027 general elections.<\/p>\n
Their appointment followed the recommendations of the National Judicial Council (NJC) after a thorough screening of their academic qualifications and the general conduct.<\/p>\n
Upon their appointment, they were attached to senior judges of the court for the practical experience of conduct of litigation.<\/p>\n
