The Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, Mr Femi Gbajabiamila\u00a0 has said many Nigerians and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are in support of President\u00a0 continuing in office beyond the 2027 general election.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Gbajabiamila made the remarks on Saturday while addressing journalists during the APC presidential primary election held in Surulere, Lagos.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
According to him, the massive turnout of party members and supporters at the venue was a reflection of growing public confidence in Tinubu\u2019s leadership and the policies of his administration.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cThis crowd is out here for one reason and one reason only. To express their love, to express their desire for continuity for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to continue as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for the next four years,\u201d he said.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
He noted that despite the harsh weather conditions, supporters still turned out in large numbers because they believed in the direction of the government.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cYou can see under the hot sun\u2026 the young, the old, men and women, they are all here. It turns out there are large numbers because of the good work of this government,\u201d Gbajabiamila stated.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
The presidential aide added that the administration\u2019s reforms were focused on long-term gains, stressing that meaningful economic changes do not produce immediate results.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cWhen you are reforming, you don\u2019t expect the gains in the short term or the very next day. It\u2019s a long-term thing,\u201d he said.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Drawing an analogy with childbirth, Gbajabiamila said the current economic challenges facing Nigerians were temporary and would eventually give way to prosperity.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u201cAnd like the President has always said, it\u2019s like the birth pains of a pregnant woman\u2026 But at the end of the day, when you deliver that child, all those pains are forgotten,\u201d he added.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
He further described Tinubu as a courageous and visionary leader, insisting that many Nigerians have remained hopeful despite criticisms and challenges confronting the administration.<\/div>\n

According to him, many citizens \u201csee through all the noise\u201d and believe that \u201cjoy is coming.\u201d<\/div>\n
