{"id":128627,"date":"2026-07-27T15:05:56","date_gmt":"2026-07-27T14:05:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=128627"},"modified":"2026-07-27T15:05:56","modified_gmt":"2026-07-27T14:05:56","slug":"apc-appoints-uzodimma-to-lead-osun-governorship-campaign-council","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/apc-appoints-uzodimma-to-lead-osun-governorship-campaign-council\/","title":{"rendered":"APC Appoints Uzodimma to Lead Osun Governorship Campaign Council"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>By Lizzy Chirkpi<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Imo State Governor and Chairman of the Progressive Governors&#8217; Forum, Senator Hope Uzodimma, to chair its National Campaign Council for the August 15, 2026, Osun State governorship election.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The party announced the composition of the campaign council and its sub-committees in a statement issued on Sunday by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the statement, Uzodimma will spearhead the party&#8217;s campaign efforts ahead of the crucial governorship poll.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;The National Campaign Council is chaired by H.E. Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON, Governor of Imo State and Chairman of the Progressive Governors&#8217; Forum,&#8221; the statement read.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The APC also appointed Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni; President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio; and Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, as co-chairmen of the council.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Also named to the campaign leadership are the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political and Other Matters, Hon. Ibrahim Kabir Masari, who will serve as Deputy Chairman, and the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I.
