The Kwara Government, Parents Teachers Association (PTA) and All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of\u00a0 Secondary\u00a0 Schools\u00a0 will\u00a0 meet to address the issue of\u00a0 PTA levy in the state.<\/p>\n
Alhaji Saka Onimago, the Commissioner for Education and Human Capital Development, told the News Agency of\u00a0 Nigeria (NAN)\u00a0 on Wednesday in Ilorin that the meeting had become imperative.<\/p>\n
He said the state government was committed to its free education policy, assuring that everyone in the state would benefit from the scheme.<\/p>\n
“ The state government will meet with the PTA and ANCOPSS to address the issue of school levy.<\/p>\n
“\u00a0 Government on its part is committed to the policy of free education and will pursue it vigorously,\u2019\u2019\u00a0 he said.<\/p>\n
He solicited for the support of all stakeholders in the state to help fast track the development of\u00a0 the education sector.<\/p>\n
The commissioner expressed displeasure at the attitude of some students who roam\u00a0 the streets\u00a0 during school hours, noting that government would tackle this.<\/p>\n
