{"id":14670,"date":"2013-06-20T19:20:31","date_gmt":"2013-06-20T18:20:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=14670"},"modified":"2013-06-20T19:20:31","modified_gmt":"2013-06-20T18:20:31","slug":"pdp-nec-passes-vote-of-confidence-in-jonathan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/pdp-nec-passes-vote-of-confidence-in-jonathan\/","title":{"rendered":"PDP NEC PASSES VOTE OF CONFIDENCE IN JONATHAN"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Thursday in Abuja passed a vote of confidence in President Goodluck Jonathan, declaring that it was evident that Nigeria has made significant progress in many sectors under his leadership.<\/p>\n<p>In the\u00a0 confidence motion moved by Senator Ibrahim Mantu and unanimously adopted by all members of the committee at today\u2019s PDP NEC meeting, the party commended President Jonathan\u2019s \u201cresolute and decisive tackling\u201d of Nigeria\u2019s security challenges which, it said, had curbed terrorism and insurgency in Nigeria, particularly in the North-East geo-political zone.<\/p>\n<p>The PDP also applauded ongoing reforms and development in the country, especially those in the agricultural, aviation, transportation, and education sectors, saying that it was\u00a0 apparent that President Jonathan\u2019s Agenda for National Transformation is being diligently implemented and that Nigerians are better for it.<\/p>\n<p>The party also commended President Jonathan\u2019s strict adherence to the rule of law as well as his protection and defense of the constitution.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe President is discharging his mandate to the appreciation of Nigerians that overwhelmingly voted for him in the 2011 general elections.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is therefore in view of the above that members of the National Executive Committee of our great party do hereby pass a vote of confidence in the President, Commander-In-Chief, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR,\u201d<br \/>\nthe motion stated.<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Thursday in Abuja passed a vote of confidence in President Goodluck Jonathan, declaring that it was evident that&hellip;<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on wp_trim_excerpt --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on wp_trim_excerpt --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on wp_trim_excerpt --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":6255,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_lmt_disableupdate":"","_lmt_disable":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[17],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-14670","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-exclusive"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.8 -
