National Vice Chairman, South East of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Dr. Nyerere Anyim has tasked the people of Abia state to reject the PDP in the 2015 general election if they want the state to catch up with her neighbours.<\/p>\n
In an interview with journalists in Umuahia, the APC chieftain alleged that the PDP has toyed with the 14 years it had ruled Abia state leaving the people poorer.<\/p>\n
Reminded that the PDP is firmly rooted in all the wards of the state, Anyim said, \u201cIf you say the PDP is everywhere, what impact have they created? It is an overstatement to say that the PDP is everywhere in Abia state. The people of the state are tired of the PDP. I challenge Abia people to reject PDP in 2015 and see if the state won\u2019t surpass its neighbours in the area of development.\u201d<\/p>\n
Anyim posited that with the people oriented policies of the two states governed by APGA in the country, the people of Abia state have no choice than to vote for the party in the next election.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen you consider the massive developmental projects going on in Imo and Anambra states, you will agree with me that Abia people would be better off with APC. On my own, I have been doing some infrastructural projects for communities, scholarship schemes for indigent students, building of houses and other projects under the Divine Agenda. So, Abia people need to open their eyes in 2015 and support APC.\u201d<\/p>\n
On reports making the rounds that APC is a Muslim party which has nothing in stock for Christians and the South East zone, Anyim said, \u201cSuch views are baseless. For the first time in Nigeria, a major political party gave 8 sensitive positions to Ndigbo. What else would you expect? No party has given Ndigbo an opportunity than the APC. You can check the records. APC is not a party for the Yoruba, Hausa or Igbo. It is not a party of the Muslims or Christians.<\/p>\n
“If you check the APC structure, it is balanced; the South East is duly represented. A good number of Christians are also there. It is not a party that promotes tribe or religion.
