The Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha said, the Imo State Traffic Management Agency [ISTMA], will be re-launch to give the Agency a new focus.<\/p>\n
The governor stated these following complaints from various associations over the activities of the Agency, during an interactive meeting with artisans, market leaders, keke operators and commercial transporters at Ahiajoku Conference Center, Owerri.<\/p>\n
The Governor who used the occasion to feel the pulse of the public on the activities of government and its agencies, called for attitudinal reorientation in order to realize the \u201cImo My Pride Project\u201d<\/p>\n
He expressed concern over the attitude of some residents who contravene traffic rules, litter the streets with dirt and erect shanties on unauthorized places and warned that such attitude run contrary to government\u2019s efforts of creating beautiful cities that will be a pride of the state.<\/p>\n
Governor Okorocha noted his administration\u2019s resolve to make Imo a one city state by developing Okigwe, Orlu and many more cities as well as providing good roads and modern infrastructures in all the cities of the state.\u00a0 He therefore called for support of all stakeholders in making Imo look like a modern state.<\/p>\n
Commenting, on the event, a notable human right activist in Imo State, Prince Bob Njemanze commended governor Okorocha for providing the people an atmosphere to share their opinions and grievances on programmes and activities of government.\u00a0 He noted that government is a collective responsibility and urged Imo people to feel free to express their views on issues that affect their wellbeing, and expressed optimism that Imo is set on the path of progress.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
