The Peoples Democratic Party has no plans to rig the 2015 presidential and general elections as alleged by the All Progressive Congress, Olisa Metuh, its National Publicity Secretary, said on Sunday.<\/p>\n
In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Abuja, Metuh described the allegation as \u201cunfounded and mere sophistry\u201d.<\/p>\n
Metuh said: \u201cThese are all excuses as the APC envisions monumental failure in the 2015 polls.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe APC is a media creation.<\/p>\n
\u201cThey are not on ground.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe statement is merely trying to justify its anticipated failure.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe ruling PDP will no longer dignify disgruntled and frustrated persons and groups with responses and replies.\u201d<\/p>\n
Metuh said the PDP had directed all its organs to engage only in productive and pro-active activities.<\/p>\n
He said: \u201cThe PDP is only willing to discuss the policies and programmes of the government.<\/p>\n
\u201cNigerians will like to know the oppositions\u2019 alternatives to the President\u2019s programmes.<\/p>\n
\u201cLet us remain focused on issues that will lead to good governance and will provide dividends of democracy for the people.\u201d<\/p>\n
NAN reports that the APC had in a statement alleged that the PDP had perfected plans to rig the 2015 presidential and general elections.<\/p>\n
