The funeral ceremonies of Late Madam Charity Onyekwululachiya Fyneface\u00a0Oba, the mother of the First Lady, Dame (Dr) Patience Goodluck Jonathan,\u00a0will commence on October 31st, 2013. The ceremonies which will take place\u00a0in both Port Harcourt and Okrika will attract dignitaries and people from\u00a0all walks of life.<\/p>\n
Late Madam Oba, who was popularly called Mama Sisi, was a devout Christian\u00a0who gave her life to the service of God, humanity and her family whom she\u00a0cherished. Madam Oba, who was known for her humility and charity, was an\u00a0accomplished business woman.<\/p>\n
On Thursday October 31, 2013, a brief Service of Songs will take place\u00a0at 9:00am at the Port Harcourt Polo Club, GRA Phase 2, Port Harcourt,\u00a0Rivers State, after which her body leaves immediately for her husband\u2019s\u00a0compound in Okrika, Rivers State.<\/p>\n
On Friday, 1st November, 2013 the Lying-in-State will be at her husband\u2019s\u00a0residence at Ambemebiri, Okrika from 6:00am to 9:00am.<\/p>\n
The Funeral Service will take place at 10:00am at the National Field,\u00a0Okrika. This will be followed by the Interment at her husband\u2019s compound\u00a0at Ambemebiri in Okrika.<\/p>\n
There will be a reception for guests at the Palace of His Royal Highness,\u00a0Late Sir S.P.U Ogan, the Amanayabo of Okrika at 2:00pm, while the\u00a0grandchildren of the Late Mrs. Oba will host an evening reception at the\u00a0National Field by 6:00pm which will attract popular entertainers.<\/p>\n
Late Mama Sisi who transitioned into greater glory on 22nd July, 2013 is\u00a0survived by many children, grandchildren, in-laws, cousins, nieces and\u00a0nephews.\u00a0She is being mourned by many whose lives she transformed positively during\u00a0her sojourn on earth.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
