{"id":18263,"date":"2013-10-18T22:26:41","date_gmt":"2013-10-18T21:26:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=18263"},"modified":"2013-10-18T22:26:41","modified_gmt":"2013-10-18T21:26:41","slug":"scholarship-16-bayelsans-head-for-lincoln-varsity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/scholarship-16-bayelsans-head-for-lincoln-varsity\/","title":{"rendered":"Scholarship: 16 Bayelsans Head For Lincoln Varsity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bayelsa State government is set to select the first batch of scholarship awardees to Lincoln University, Pennsylvania, Governor Seriake Dickson has said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The governor is to meet with stakeholders in the education sector next Monday, a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Daniel Iworiso-Marson said.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the statement, the meeting is a fallout of the recent Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Bayelsa State Government and the Lincoln University, Pennsylvania, United States of America,<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The meeting, the statement explained, shall among other things agree on the modalities for selecting the first set of two beneficiaries from each of the eight local government areas in a most transparent manner.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Expected at the meeting are Commissioner for education, Special Adviser on Tertiary education, council chairmen, Vice Chancellor, Niger Delta University and Chairman of the State scholarship board.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Also invited are Provost, Isaac Adaka Boro College of Education and the Rector, Bayelsa State College of Arts and Science.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The MOU is such that students from Bayelsa State will pay far lesser fees that even Americans,&#8221; said the CPS, stressing, &#8220;the situation has therefore made it extremely necessary for the State to present only the very best.&#8221;<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bayelsa State government is set to select the first batch of scholarship awardees to Lincoln University, Pennsylvania, Governor Seriake Dickson has said.
