President Goodluck Jonathan is currently recuperating in London after medical practitioners examined him and recommended that he needed to rest.<\/p>\n
Jonathan, who flew to London on Wednesday to keep a date with investors at the Nigeria\u2019s Honorary International Investors\u2019 Council in London, was said to have been \u201cindisposed\u201d and could not attend the opening of the meeting.<\/p>\n
A statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, on Thursday, however, assured Nigerians that Jonathan\u2019s health did not call for concern as the check-up was \u201conly precautionary.\u201d<\/p>\n
Abati said, \u201cIn the course of his on-going visit to London for a meeting of Nigeria\u2019s Honorary International Investors\u2019 Council, President Goodluck Jonathan became indisposed and could not be present at the opening of the meeting today.<\/p>\n
\u201cPresident Jonathan has since been examined by competent medical practitioners. He has been advised to rest for a few days.<\/p>\n
