Baring any last minutes change of plans, the Speaker, House of
\nRepresentatives Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal will contest the 2015
\nPresidential elections under the banner of the All Progressive Congress,
\nAPC, an informed source told Pointblanknews.com.<\/p>\n
Sources told Pointblanknews.com that Tambuwal has been secretly meeting
\nwith top Politicians from the North and has set up the Tambuwal
\nPresidential Project, TPP.<\/p>\n
TPP\u2019s membership is drawn from top Politicians in the North, members of
\nthe National Assembly as well as APC chieftains who are not disposed to
\nGeneral Mohammadu Buhari\u2019s presidential ambition.<\/p>\n
Tambuwal, regarded as the \u201cnew face of Northern politics\u201d is seen as the
\nmost acceptable among Northern politicians who desperately yearn for power
\nto return to the North in 2015.<\/p>\n
The Speaker\u2019s Governor, Aliyu Wammako of Sokoto State recently decamped to
\nthe APC. But the Speaker cannot leave the PDP now, as he would forfeit his
\nseat in the National Assembly under the new electoral law.<\/p>\n
Tambuwal’s choice as a presidential material according to inside sources
\nis to represent the much call for the return of Power to the North in
\n2015.<\/p>\n
Sources in the North who are following the emerging politics are of the
\nopinion that Hon. Tambuwal, coming from Sokoto State; a key north western
\nstate of the country would be in better position to slug it out with
\nPresident Goodluck Jonathan in the event that the President emerged the
\nPDP presidential candidate.<\/p>\n
Already top echelons of the APC who are not particularly comfortable with
\nGen. Muhammadu Buhari running for the Presidency on the party’s platform
\nare currently said to be holding clandestine meetings to convince the
\nSpeaker to join the Party and contest the Presidential ticket of the
\nparty.
\nThe Speaker, although has not acceded to the overtures but his close
\nassociates said his body language is encouraging.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Speaker is a politician and so he has to calculate well before
\ndeciding. He has not said yes to the request but from his body language,
\nwe know he is not opposed to it,\u201d a source who has been part of the
\npolitical calculation told Pointbalnknews.com.<\/p>\n
Some APC chieftains are also said to have commence mounting pressure on
\nGen. Buhari, urging him to drop any idea of contesting the 2015
\nPresidential<\/p>\n
An APC member of the House of Representatives who pleaded anonymity said
\nmajority of the members of the House are in support of Tambuwal\u2019s
\npresidential ambition and are already working round the clock to sell the
\nidea to other Nigerians<\/p>\n
“We have gone far with the Tambuwal Presidential Project (TPP) we have
\nreached virtually all nooks and cranny of this country to seek support of
\nmajor stake holders within and outside the APC, we are very comfortable
\nwith the response we have received so far. Nigeria and Nigerians would get
\na better deal if and when we translate the TPP into reality In-Sha-Allah<\/p>\n
“Nigerians must also recall that that the emergence of Tambuwal as Speaker
\nof the House of Representatives was not the making of the PDP, rather, we
\nthe now APC made it happen and ever since, the Speaker is\u00a0 carrying
\neverybody along irrespective of ethnicity, tribe or religion some rare
