Former Head of State, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari has expressed optimism that
\nAll Progressives Congress (APC) would win the 2015 general elections.<\/p>\n
He added that the party would rule Nigeria no matter the opposition from
\nother political parties.
\nBuhari a chieftain of the party, made the remark while addressing party
\nfaithful at a Sensitisation Rally in Port Harcourt.<\/p>\n
He stressed that the party was solidly behind Gov. Chibuike Amaechi of
\nRivers, describing him as a courageous politician.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn spite of our differences, we are one people. APC will ensure security
\nof the nation and work toward its unity.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n
In his remarks, Amaechi decried impunity of politicians and condemned
\nthuggery in the polity.<\/p>\n
He urged members of APC to prepare to work hard and ensure change in 2015.<\/p>\n
The governor said he would not declare for APC now but would do so later
\nin the new stadium under construction in the Greater Port Harcourt area.<\/p>\n
The Interim National Chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande, commended
\nAmaechi and Rivers people for accepting and supporting the party.<\/p>\n
A chieftain of the party and former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu,
\ncommended Amaechi for fighting shackles of poverty in the society.<\/p>\n
He said if not for the governor\u2019s courage, members would not have
\nwitnessed the large turnout of supporters.<\/p>\n
Tinubu noted that the brooms they had were to sweep away evil and liberate
