Retired Archbishop of Lagos, Cardinal Okogie, has warned the Pastor and founder of the Household of God Church International, Chris Okotie, to stop talking out of ignorance or else, he will be disgraced.<\/p>\n
The cardinal sounded this note of warning during an interview, in reaction to Okotie\u2019s recent statement that \u2018all Catholics will go to hell\u2019.<\/p>\n

While criticizing the Catholic church in a sermon, Okotie had said the church was \u201ca counterfeit church set up by Satan, and they bow to idols and crucify Jesus every Sunday when they eat bread claiming they are eating Jesus\u2019 body.\u201d<\/p>\n
According to a report by Nigerian Eye:<\/p>\n
Describing Catholic as \u201ca counterfeit church set up by Satan,\u201d Okotie said. \u201cThey (Catholics) are not Christians and have never been. They don\u2019t know Jesus. They believe that when they eat bread on Sundays, they are eating the body of Jesus. It\u2019s ritual,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
Okogie, however, said it was wrong for the 55-year-old pastor to speak on what he knew little or nothing about.<\/p>\n
He said, \u201cIt is always good to talk on what you know, not on what you do not know. The problem we have today is that a lot of people put their mouth in what does not concern them because they want people to know that they too are there; that they can be reckoned with.<\/p>\n
\u201cI don\u2019t think that is the way to do things, no. I think the best thing is to always put your mouth where God puts it, if you don\u2019t want to be disgraced.\u201d<\/p>\n
Okotie, who had divorced two wives, recently bought a 2014 Bespoke Edition of Rolls Royce Coupeto worth N120m to mark his 30 years as born-again Christian and 27 years as a pastor.<\/p>\n
