President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday approved the appointment of Mr Habibu Abdullahi as Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).<\/p>\n
The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the President, Dr Reuben Abati, said in a statement, in Abuja, that Abdullahi replaced Mr Omar Suleiman who had been relieved of his appointment.<\/p>\n
The new managing director, who hails from Kano State, was the authority\u2019s Acting Executive Director (Finance & Administration).<\/p>\n
He holds a Bachelors Degree in Political Science and Masters Degree in Public Administration.<\/p>\n
The President also approved the appointment of three Executive Directors for the organisation.<\/p>\n
They are Mr David Omonibeke, Marine & Operations; Mr Mohammmed Saleh, Engineering & Technical Services; and Mr Olumide Oduntan, Finance & Administration.<\/p>\n
Similarly, the President approved the appointment of three Executive Directors for the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA).<\/p>\n
They are Capt. Ezekiel Agaba, Maritime Safety & Shipping Development; Mr Obi Nwabueze, Maritime Labour & Cabotage Services; and Mr Baba Jauro, Finance & Administration.<\/p>\n
