The General Overseer and Head of Messiah House of Prayer, Amaimo Umuofo
\nAmauda in Ikeduru L.G.A. of Imo State Prophet Mike Osuji, has been
\narrested by the Imo State Police for allegedly raping a 13-year old girl.<\/p>\n
This was sequel to a petition written to the Owerri Police Area Command by
\nthe lawyer to the father of the alleged raped victim.<\/p>\n
In a telephone interview, the minor\u2019s father who is a widower alleged that
\nthe prophet severally raped his daughter between the year 2010 and 2013
\nwithout his knowledge.<\/p>\n
\u2018Between 2010 and 2013, I was sick and a friend of mine introduced me to
\nProphet Mike Osuji. Because of my sickness, I lost my job as a luxurious
\nbus driver and also my accommodation in Naze Owerri. Consequently, the
\nprophet offered me accommodation in his house which he also uses as
\nchurch. I moved in with my two little daughters. Because of my condition
\nthen, I did not know that the prophet was taking advantage of my
\npredicament to defile one of my daughters. One of the days, his wife
\ncaught him trying to abuse my daughter and he sent his wife packing.
\nBecause of that, I sent my children away but the prophet threatened me
\nsaying that I must bring my children back to the church. It was when my
\ndaughters went out of the prophet\u2019s custody that they could narrate their
\nordeal to me. Ironically, the prophet went to the police recently to
\nreport that I arranged to kidnap my daughters from his house\u2026.\u2019.<\/p>\n
Confirming the report, counsel to the girl\u2019s father, Barr. Emperor Iwuala
\nadded that the said prophet is also suspected of buying stolen vehicles.
\nHe also commended the police on the effective way they are handling the
\nmatter.<\/p>\n
Attempt to reach the prophet on his mobile phone proved abortive as his
\nline was not reachable.<\/p>\n
When the suspect\u2019s prayer house was also visited, a worshipper in the
\nplace who spoke on condition of anonymity confirmed that the prophet was
