Former Governor Attahiru Bafarawa of Sokoto state who defected from the
\nAPC to PDP will Wednesday visit the National Chairman of the Peoples
\nDemocratic Party, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu at the PDP\u00a0 Secretariat, Abuja along
\nwith his supporters to discuss ways to move the party forward.<\/p>\n
Bafarawa who attended to visitors that include PDP leaders and supporters
\nin Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara states at his Sokoto residence since his
\ndefection last Saturday said his reasons his to join PDP\u00a0 is to ensure
\njustice and fairness in nation politics.<\/p>\n
He described his defection to PDP as the only solution over injustice
\nmeted on him and his supporters by the leadership of APC after suffering
\nalong with others to bring new All Progressives Congress to the fora.<\/p>\n
Bafarawa urged his teeming supporters who followed him to the PDP to
\nrespect those they met in party and work together with them for the
\nsuccess of the PDP through discipline and unity. He also denied seeking
\nany political position or favour as reasons of defecting to PDP.<\/p>\n
“I am not seeking any political position, it is not what encourage me and
\nmy supporters to decide for our political survival by leaving APC to PDP.
\nIt is true, we are politically orientated, discipline and coherent with
\nbelieve of justice and fairness, anything short of it, will no be
\naccepted. Because temerity is a wisdom to wither storm of grudge against
\nanybody. I have no grudge or enmity with any particular individual or
\ngroup, my political destiny comes from God, only God decide my future and
\nI trust His judgement for our political destiny and direction” Bafarawa
