{"id":2210,"date":"2012-07-26T22:20:39","date_gmt":"2012-07-26T21:20:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=2210"},"modified":"2012-07-26T22:20:39","modified_gmt":"2012-07-26T21:20:39","slug":"oil-subsidy-fraud-you-are-on-your-own-pdp-tells-tukur-alli","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/oil-subsidy-fraud-you-are-on-your-own-pdp-tells-tukur-alli\/","title":{"rendered":"Oil Subsidy Fraud: You Are On Your Own, PDP Tells Tukur, Alli"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said that top brass members whose sons are\u00a0 facing prosecution for alleged involvement in the oil subsidy scam, should sort out heir mess.<\/p>\n<p>PDP National Deputy chairman, Sam Jaja, said thursday that\u00a0\u00a0 the party did not encourage its members who are criminal suspects or those already convicted of crimes to abuse their various offices.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking with reporters at the PDP\u2019s national headquarters in Abuja on Thursday, Jaja, said the party would not\u00a0 rally to the aid of any members currently facing trial for involvement in any crime.<\/p>\n<p>According to him,\u00a0 the party would allow Mahmud Tukur and Nasir Ali, sons of the party\u2019s national chairman, Bamanga Tukur, and a former national chairman, Ahmadu Ali, respectively, to bear their own crosses.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn the issue of some PDP members being involved in oil subsidy, these are individuals,\u201d said Mr. Jaja, adding, \u201cEverybody will bear his own cross.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Jaja also asserted that \u201cthere are governors who are now facing prosecution as a result of their actions and inactions, so is not a party thing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPDP did not send anybody to go and misbehave. Even if you mention my chairman\u2019s son, he is up to age. Assuming he is to go to jail, they will not come and jail the national chairman, because he did not send him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, Mr. Jaja denied that the party would help any suspect. Speaking about Mr. Tukur\u2019s son, Mr. Jaja said, \u201cHe is a man of age and he has a household, he has his family.
