{"id":22488,"date":"2014-02-06T21:25:09","date_gmt":"2014-02-06T20:25:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=22488"},"modified":"2014-02-06T21:25:24","modified_gmt":"2014-02-06T20:25:24","slug":"apc-registration-exercise-records-impressive-turnout-in-kano","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/apc-registration-exercise-records-impressive-turnout-in-kano\/","title":{"rendered":"APC Registration Exercise Records Impressive Turnout In Kano"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>Hundreds of Kano residents abandoned their businesses on Thursday to participate in the on-going membership registration exercise of the All Progressive Congress (APC).<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Pointblanknews.com observations on the day-two of the exercise indicate that Kano residents are eager to register in the party most of them describe as \u201cour own.\u201d<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Some areas visited by our reporter yesterday showed that there was massive turnout as prospective supporters of the party showed eagerness to register.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>At the Dandali registration center in Fagge Local Government area of the state, there was mass turnout as the center was jam-packed with men and women who were waiting patiently to pick the party\u2019s registration card.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>A registration officer at the center, Babuji Hashim, said that there was a little bit of delay in the commencement of the membership registration exercise, saying that \u201c<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The registration of membership took off fully today (Thursday) due to some pocket of hitches here and there.\u201d<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>But the registration coordinator, \u00a0Alhaji Auwalu Sani Garba, explained that the delay was as a result of ensuring equal distribution of the registration materials to the various registration centers of the Local Government area, adding that the delay would not affect the exercise to round off on the slated date.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Garba added that there has been large turnout of supporters at the registration centers, especially at the very first hours of commencement of the exercise.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>An APC stalwart, Tijjani Sikiru, who hailed from Ibadan, said that he was in Kano on business trip but cannot afford to miss the opportunity of registering as a member of the party.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>While at the Dandago \u00a0area, the turnout is also gathering momentum, as the commencement of the registration was not impressive on the first day of the exercise.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>One Salihu Idris, said he is happy to have registered as a member full fledge member of APC, \u201call what I am waiting for, is for 2015 to come and cast my vote for the party.\u201d<\/div>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hundreds of Kano residents abandoned their businesses on Thursday to participate in the on-going membership registration exercise of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
