President Goodluck Jonathan has said those accusing him of not fighting
\ncorruption are indeed the corrupt ones in the society.<\/p>\n
General Mohammadu Buhari, former Governor Ahmed Bola Tinubu and lately,
\nformer Vice President Atiku Abubakar, all of the All Progressive Congress,
\nAPC have accused the President of corruption.
\nSpeaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Aminu Tambuwal had also said
\nthe body language of the President has been encouraging corruption.<\/p>\n
But President Jonathan in what could be seen as a direct response to the
\naccusers said those seeking credibility, go on air to accuse the
\nGovernment of corruption.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnybody who wants to claim an element of credibility will go to the
\ntelevision and accuse government of corruption, that the President\u2019s body
\nlanguage shows that he is not fighting corruption or that he is not ready
\nto fight corruption.<\/p>\n
\u201cSometimes, even the very corrupt people are those making these statements
\nbecause if you attack government, you are insulated, you become an angel.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you want to be an angel, just attack the government, whatever you have
\ndone is covered.\u201d<\/p>\n
President Jonathan spoke after swearing in the chairman and members of the
\nNational Population Commission; a member of the Independent Corrupt
\nPractices and other Related Offences Commission and two special advisers
