Chairman of the Nigeria Governors\u2019 Forum, Dr. Jonah Jang of Plateau state
\nhas called on Nigerians to ignore statements by Governor Rotimi Amaechi\u2019s
\ngroup of governors, describing them as reading from the script prepared by
\nthe APC.<\/p>\n
In a statement released in Abuja by the NGF media office and signed by
\nKassim Yakubu, Governor Jang berated the Amaechi led group for playing
\npolitics with the suspension of the CBN governor by President Goodluck
\nJonathan noting that Nigerians have grown weary of Governor Amaechi
\nturning every issue even beyond his purvey into a political opportunity.<\/p>\n
He reiterated that Governor Amaechi does not speak on behalf of the
\ngovernors in the country as according to him a vast majority of governors
\ndo not share in the anti federal government zeal that the Rivers state
\ngovernor champions as evident in the ever reducing number of governors he
\nparades.<\/p>\n
\u201cNigerians want governors to perform their primary functions of running
\ntheir states and not this obsession with President Jonathan by governor
\nAmaechi and his cohorts. My advice to them is Nigerians and history will
\ndecide if President Jonathan has performed as President. This lowly
\nbehaviour will not win them an election\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
Governor Jang sent his sympathies to the parents of the school children
\nkilled by the Boko Haram extremists in Yobe state and called on the
\nsecurity forces not to relent in their effort to fish out the evil
\nperpetrators of the heinous act.<\/p>\n
He also sent condolences to Governor Mimiko of Ondo state and the people
\nof the state at the death of the speaker of the House of Assembly, Sam
