{"id":23808,"date":"2014-03-04T19:50:37","date_gmt":"2014-03-04T18:50:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=23808"},"modified":"2014-03-04T19:50:38","modified_gmt":"2014-03-04T18:50:38","slug":"pastor-raped-me-countless-times-to-cleanse-my-spirit-victim-tells-court","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/pastor-raped-me-countless-times-to-cleanse-my-spirit-victim-tells-court\/","title":{"rendered":"Pastor Raped Me Countless Times To Cleanse My Spirit\u2019- Victim Tells Court"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"messagecontent\">\n<div>\n<div id=\"messagebody\">\n<div>\n<div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">\n<div>\nPastor Princewill Basil who is standing trial before an FCT High Court over alleged rape of two girls was on Tuesday confronted by a second victim who claimed he raped her countless times.<\/p>\n<p>Basil, the General Overseer, Mountain Movers Fire Ministry Church, Nyanya, was arraigned in 2012 for allegedly having unlawful carnal knowledge and impregnating two student-members of his church, aged 14 and 15 years.<\/p>\n<p>Giving evidence under cross-examination by the defence counsel, Mr. Sunday Kekere, the victim said the pastor rape her to \u201ccleanse her spirit of dirt\u2019\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI cannot remember the number of times he raped me.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPapa told me it was a continuous deliverance, and he had to sleep with me to clean all the dirt inside me and also cleanse my future,\u2019\u2019\u2019 she told court.<\/p>\n<p>When asked if in her statement to the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Person (NAPTIP), she admitted living with the accused, she answered `no\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI never told them (NAPTIP) that. I told them that I always go there to assist Papa\u2019s former fianc\u00e9e Cynthia, with household chores.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are days that I sleep over to finish my chores,\u2019\u2019 she said.<\/p>\n<p>When asked if the pastor had paid her school fees before, she said: \u201cPapa had once told me during deliverance that he gave my mum N40, 000 for my school fees.\u2019\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen I asked my mum, she said it was not true,\u2019\u2019 she testified.<\/p>\n<p>The victim alleged that the accused had on some occasions, threatened her with a knife to force her to sleep with him.<\/p>\n<p>After her testimony, Justice Hussein Baba-Yusuf adjourned the case to March 14 for continuation of testimony.<\/p>\n<p>The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) recalls that at the last sitting of the case on Feb. 11, the first victim told the court that Basil allegedly told her that her father\u2019s wife was trying to kill her and that the Lord told him to perform a quick deliverance on her.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI agreed for the deliverance to be carried out on me.
