{"id":24101,"date":"2014-03-10T22:11:20","date_gmt":"2014-03-10T21:11:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=24101"},"modified":"2014-03-10T22:13:18","modified_gmt":"2014-03-10T21:13:18","slug":"south-east-governors-meeting-to-ensure-retention-of-jonathan-orji","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/south-east-governors-meeting-to-ensure-retention-of-jonathan-orji\/","title":{"rendered":"South East Governors Meeting To Ensure Retention Of Jonathan \u2013 Orji"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Indication emerged on Monday that political leaders in the South-East zone are making serious plans to ensure that Nigeria\u2019s President Goodluck Jonathan stays in power beyond 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Governor Theodore Orji of Abia State, who is also the new chairman of the South-East Governor\u2019s Forum had while speaking in Anambra during the ground breaking ceremony of the second Niger Bridge revealed that the forum had been meeting to strategise on how to ensure victory for the President in 2015.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Orji said the reason was because the President had made himself a worthy brother to people of the region, and that there was no way he would declare his interest without the people of the zone voting for him.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou could have just sent one of your ministers, but you chose to come by yourself. All we can assure you is that we will pay you back when the time comes\u201d, he said.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, the host Governor, Mr Peter Obi told Jonathan to only declare his interest and leave the battle of winning the election in the zone to them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you go to the bank and deposit money, you can also come and withdraw. You cannot withdraw if you don\u2019t deposit.
