More troubles mount for suspended Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor,
\nSanusi Lamido Sanusi as the Kano Emirate sends emissaries to the
\npresidency disassociating itself from recent comments credited to the
\nousted CBN Governor disparaging the Nigerian government, the Presidency
\nand President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.<\/p>\n

\ncomplaints from the Presidency over Sanusi Lamido\u2019s attacks and disregard
\nto Federal authorities, the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Abdullahi Bayero
\npersonally chided Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, urging him to, \u201cshut up and stop
\nembarrassing the Kano Emirate.\u201d<\/p>\n
A reliable source from Kano Emirate Council told Pointblanknews.com that
\nEmir Ado Bayero has continued to express concern over Sanusi Lamido
\nSanusi\u2019s actions and utterances since he was suspended as CBN Governor.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn fact, I must tell you that His Highness, Alhaji Ado Bayero is upset
\nover recent comments credited to Majen Kano, Alhaji Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.
\nThe entire Kano Emirate is also not happy with the way our son and a
\nPrince of this Kingdom is going about making unguided statements. It does
\nnot sy well of the good image and hard-earned integrity of the Kano
\nEmirate. The Emir and the Emirate Council feel very embarrassed over
\nSanusi Lamido Sanusi\u2019s recent actions and we have ordered him to tread
\nwith caution,\u201d a highly placed Chief in Kano Emirate Council told

Already, the Emirate Council has sent a delegation to the Presidency with
\na mandate to apologize to President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan over recent
\ncomments and actions of the suspended CBN Governor.<\/p>\n
The high-power delegation led by Dan Massanin Kano, Alhaji Yusuf Maitama
\nSule and made up of respected elders, members of the Kano Ruling House and
\nrepresentatives of the Emirate were mandated to apologize to President
\nJonathan on behalf of the Kano people and the Emirate Council.
\nEven among residents and indigenes of the ancient commercial city, many
\nhave expressed surprise that Sanusi Lamido Sanusi who is a front-line
\ncontender of Ado Bayero\u2019s seat could take actions capable of putting to
\nquestion the integrity and honour of Kano Emirate Council.<\/p>\n
Malam Abdullahi Ibrahim Doguwa, a political analyst described Lamido
\nSanusi Lamido as a hero who shot himself on the arm, \u201cwhen he assumed
\noffice as CBN Governor, he exhibited characters that made us proud. We
\nwere really proud of him; but he dug his own grave when he missed up his
\nassignment as CBN Governor with politics and political agenda.<\/p>\n
\u201cSanusi Lamido Sanusi offered himself to be used and dumped by desperate
\npoliticians who exploited his \u2018busy body\u2019 and loquaciousness to achieve
\ntheir selfish agenda; while watching in laughter as the Kano prince
\ncrashed his own career and integrity in such a tragic way. As it is now,
\nhe is on the verge of losing everything as his shameful outing at the CBN
\nhas seriously damaged his chances of becoming the Emir of Kano\u2014a dream
\nthat is so dear to him.\u201d<\/p>\n
Most residents are also frowning at recent romance between embattled
\nSanusi Lamido Sanusi and Kano state Governor, Dr. Rabi\u2019u Musa Kwankwaso as
\nthey remind the Governor of the Sanusi of the early years of 2000 when
\nKwankwaso as Kano state Governor (during his first term) threatened to
\nwithdraw government\u2019s patronage of UBA if Sanusi was not sacked by the
\nbank.<\/p>\n

\nthat time, in his characteristic mannerism, unwholesomely attacked
\nKwankwaso\u2019s government leveling llegations of misgovernance and financial

Alhaji Khalid Inuwa, a Kwankwasiyya movement adherent, urged Governor
\nKwankwaso to be wary of Lamido Sanusi Lamido because, \u201conce beaten, twice
\nshy; we cannot forget in a hurry, how Sanusi Lamido Sanusi tried in vein
\nto smear the name and image of His Excellency, Governor Rabi\u2019u Musa
\nKwankwaso. I believe Governor Kwankwaso should be very careful with Sanusi
\nLamido because he is not trudt worthy.\u201d<\/p>\n
SANUSI LAMIDO SANUSI AND EMIR ADO BAYERO\u2019S SEAT
\nPointblanknews.com recalls that in July 2012 when Emir Ado Bayero returned
\nfrom London, the Emir expressed his angy with a number of Chiefs in his
\nEmirate who were accused of collecting \u201cgifts\u201d from Sanusi Lamido Sanusi
\nto influence his ambition of succeeding Ado Bayero upon his death.<\/p>\n

\nof rumours with divided speculations of the Emir\u2019s health condition. While
\nmany believed that Emir Bayero was in coma, others had believed that the

\nremitted from CBN coffers) to king makers so as to protect his interest
\nand appoint him Ado Bayero\u2019s successor. In fact, a source revealed that
\neach of those that matters within the Emirate Council received a \u201cgift\u201d of
\nN1 billion as an inducement to pursue and protect the embattled banker\u2019s

\nclimb the Kano\u2019s traditional stool a move to restore the integrity of his
\ngrandfather, Emir Sanusi who was dethroned and banished from the Kano
\nemirate several years ago, or a burning desire to serve Kano and its
\npeople? But with the current ropes of corruption and irresponsibility
\nentangling Sanusi Lamido Sanusi\u2019s tin neck, his dream of becoming the Emir
