Nigeria is to partner with Turkey in the area of industrialization needed to create jobs in the country, Senate President of the Senate\u00a0\u00a0 Senator David Mark said in Abuja yesterday.<\/p>\n

Exchanging views the Turkish Ambassador to Nigeria Mustafa Pulat in his office Senator Mark noted that both nations have\u00a0 a lot to gain from the bilateral relationship.<\/p>\n

He said Turkey is a good example of a developing nation, a feat Nigeria should emulate.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Senator Mark told his guest\u00a0 that Nigeria is an ideal investors’ destination saying that fears of insurgency should not deter any one because the issues are being addressed.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Senator Mark explained that Nigeria is a secular state that upholds the sanctity of freedom of worship , assuring that religious differences among the people is not a challenge.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the visiting Turkish High Commissioner to Nigeria said he was in Nigeria to strengthen the existing bilateral relationship in a way that would be beneficial to both nations.<\/p>\n

Also yesterday, the Senate President tasked the media to enlist in campaign of government to achieve peace and\u00a0 unity of the nation.<\/p>\n

Speaking when the executive members of Senate Press Corps paid him a solidarity visit on\u00a0 his 66th birthday, Senator Mark said that the task of peaceful coexistence in the country is a business of every Nigerian.<\/p>\n

” We should admit that we are faced with problems and we should work together to resolve our difference . The media has been active in this regards but we need to do more because we can only achieve development in an environment of peace.”, he stated.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the Chairman of the Senate\u00a0 Press Corps. Mr. Cusmos Ekpunobi praised the excellent leadership of the Senate President which he added brought unity not only in the Senate but in\u00a0 the nation at large.<\/p>\n

Ekpunobi enjoined Senator Mark not to rest on his oars in the effort to ensure peace and unity of Nigeria.<\/p>\n
