{"id":25463,"date":"2014-04-15T17:01:42","date_gmt":"2014-04-15T16:01:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=25463"},"modified":"2014-04-16T04:51:24","modified_gmt":"2014-04-16T03:51:24","slug":"abuja-blast-tambuwal-offers-to-donate-blood","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/abuja-blast-tambuwal-offers-to-donate-blood\/","title":{"rendered":"Abuja Blast: Tambuwal Offers To Donate Blood"},"content":{"rendered":"<div>\n<div>Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Aminu Tambuwal, on Tuesday offered to donate blood to victims of Monday\u2019s bomb attack, which claimed over 89 lives in Nyanya, an Abuja satellite area\u00a0in the Federal Capital Territory.He also urged other Nigerians to donate blood to the victims as a humanitarian gesture of saving lives.At least 124 survivors are hospitalised with varying degrees of burns and wounds.Tambuwal spoke as he visited some of the victims in hospitals to commiserate with them.<\/p>\n<p>He had visited survivors in hospitals, including Nyanya General Hospital and the National Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Tambuwal said, \u201cI will go to the National Blood Transfusion Centre and donate some blood for the victims. I call on well meaning Nigerians, who have the capacity to donate blood to please come out and donate blood and whatever is required for the survival of the victims.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tambuwal expressed concern that the issue of insecurity was being politicised by Nigeria in spite of the many lives and property lost frequently.<\/p>\n<p>The Speaker called on leaders at all levels of government to tackle insecurity seriously.<\/p>\n<p>Tambuwal spoke further, \u201cWe must all come together and support the government in addressing this challenge.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe should stop playing politics with the issue of insecurity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom what I have seen among the victims, I doubt if they are members of any political party. We should stop playing politics, we should address the issue and it is not about any religion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is unfortunate. We must come together.
