\nHundred of\u00a0 Christian women gathered at Sarki Yarki Road, Sabon Gari secretariat of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), protesting the continued hostage of 237 Chibok school girls by the Boko Haram insurgents.<\/p>\n
They appealed to Kano CAN chairman, Bishop Ransom Bello to channel their grievances to appropriate authorities, lamenting that now is the time government and all stakeholders concerned should do everything possible to ensure the release of the abducted girls.<\/p>\n
This is just as the state chairman of CAN, Bishop Ransom Bello, said in Kano on Tuesday that he believes God will expose the evil doers and their collaborators, who he pointed out, were not wishing the country well.<\/p>\n
The protesters who were carrying various placards, some of the inscription, which reads: \u2018\u2019Chibok girls are innocent, release them\u2019 we want our girls back, Listen to the voice of Women, We will continue to be in pain until they are released, what are the offence of Chibok girls\u2019<\/p>\n
Most of the women who could not hide their emotion were crying and rolling on the ground, calling on their abductors to stop persecuting the innocent girls for no just cause.<\/p>\n
Reading the protest letter at the state CAN secretariat, Kano, the\u00a0 chairperson, Mrs Ann West , said, as\u00a0 mothers, we are here to draw the attention of our President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, the governor of Kano state , Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and the entire global community on the callous abduction of the Chibok girls.\u2019<\/p>\n
According to the spokesman, \u2018without prejudice, we are condemning the abduction, adding that it is an act of wickedness, inhuman and barbaric.<\/p>\n
West therefore said, we are demanding for the immediate release of our girls to us, their\u00a0 mothers and in fact to their parents without further delay, we also demand that these wicked people, the abductors be brought to book.\u2019<\/p>\n
As concerned mothers, we have been seeking the face of the Lord for divine intervention, of cause which we know\u00a0 He will answer us.<\/p>\n
West revealed that up till this moment, we have not relented in our prayers but we are still only taking one step further to call for the attention and assistance from the President of Nigeria and the Global community through the media.<\/p>\n
While handing over the letter to the state CAN Bishop, Ransom Bello, Mrs West stated that they appreciate the efforts made so far by the government of the country and other numerous individuals.<\/p>\n
While collecting the letter from the state CAN chairperson, Bishop Bello, said \u2018we as CAN, we are in support of your crusade, just as we have been and still feeling the pain of what happened\u2019
\nThe abduction is condemnable in all ramification, we were against it, against the people who use religion as a cover up to commit evil in this county.<\/p>\n
Bishop Bello, while promising them that he will hand over their protest letter to governor Kwankwaso, who he said he believed will equally pass it to the President, said \u2018 he believes God will expose them and their collaborators.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
