Speaking with CNN on Monday, the men revealed how Boko Haram coerces men into joining the group at gunpoint, but said they had to speak out to save their children.<\/span><\/div>\n

\u00a0\u201cThis [speaking out] is the only way our children will have a future,\u201d one of them said, adding that a number of his friends who were forced to join the group subsequently received terrorism training in Sudan and Somalia.\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

Speaking on the groups\u2019 recruitment pattern, the other said: \u201cAfter convincing you, once you move to their training camp, that is the end. You won\u2019t come back again. \u201cThey take them to the bush and then force you to join. It is either you join or they will kill you.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n

On the kidnapped Chibok girls, they maintained that Boko Haram \u201cwill use them to negotiate with the government about those of their members that have been detained by the government, or use them as human shield.\u201d \u00a0\u00a0<\/span>
