Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has said he is praying for internal
\ndemocracy, justice and peace to reign in the All Progressive Congress,
\nAPC, apparently referring to the internal wrangling rocking the opposition
\nparty.<\/p>\n
Okorocha also refuted the rumour making round the country, that the will
\nsoon defect to PDP, Governor Okorocha has made it clear that he remains a
\nstrong member of All Progressive Congress (APC).<\/p>\n
The Imo state Governor who disclosed this during the State of Imo Address
\nto mark his 3 years in office at Imo International Conference Centre,
\nOwerri, prayed for Justice, peace and internal democracy to reign in APC.
\n\u201cI remain a strong member of APC and not PDP, I prayed for justice, peace
\nand internal democracy to reign in APC.\u201d<\/p>\n
Governor Okorocha stressed the need for Igbos to be remembered politically
\nin the Federal Republic of Nigeria and made them to understand that APC
\nwould provide a platform for Igbo man to become the president or vice
\npresident in 2015.<\/p>\n
On the issue whether Governor Okorocha will contest for president or
\ngovernor come 2015 general election, Gov. Okorocha said if he must run for
\nthe governorship in 2015, \u201cI must have one million people and each will
\ngive me N100 while for presidency, I must have 20million people and each
\nwill also give me N100\u201d; adding that he is capable to transform the
\ncountry.<\/p>\n
Owelle Okorocha who regretted that the nation is not working, expressed
\nhope that Nigeria will move forward in future.<\/p>\n
He noted that breaking of due process, fighting of corruption, closing
\ndown of all the loopholes has helped him to achieve a lot in terms of
\ndevelopmental projects; adding that his dream is to make history for
\nhimself so that generations yet unborn will remember him.<\/p>\n
The governor who used the opportunity to enumerate the federal allocation
\n(FAAC) distribution, said that Imo state from June 2011 \u2013 April 2014
\nreceived N168,495.3Billion unlike her sister states. He said that despite
\nthe least allocation given to Imo state, his administration has recorded
\nmore developmental projects within its 3 years in office, more than other
\nstates that receive huge amount of allocation from federal government.<\/p>\n
Owelle Okorocha thanked the state House of Assembly for their support and
\ncooperation in ensuring for developmental projects in the state especially
\nfor approving a 4-year budget plan.<\/p>\n
The governor who acknowledged the political leaders in the state, like
\nEngr. Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, Chief Ifeanyichukwu Araraume, Sir. Ikedi
\nOhakim, Chief Arthur Nzeribe, Chief Udenwa and others described them as
\nhis brothers.<\/p>\n
The Speaker Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Uwajumogu
\nexpressed the willingness of the state house to partner with the state
\ngovernment in delivering dividends of democracy to the people.<\/p>\n
Hon. Uwajimogu attributed the source of the present administration within
\n3 years in office as a result of sacrifice and harmonious relationship
\nbetween the executive and the legislative members; adding that Imo state
\nis now delivered from the shackles of political distractions that never
\nmean well for the state.<\/p>\n
Present at the event were the Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere,
\nmembers of the state House of Assembly, Expanded Exco members, Chief of
\nStaff, Sir. Jude Ejiogu, Senator Izunaso, Audu Ogbe, Alhaji Bello Magari,
\nOgbonnaya Onu, Tom Ikimi, Chief Timipreye Sylver, and other political
