Former Minister of Information and Communications, Prof. (Mrs.) Dora Nkem
\nAkunyili, OFR, will be buried on August 28, 2014, the family has
\nannounced.<\/p>\n
\u201cDetails about the funeral arrangements will be made available to the
\npublic in due course,\u201d Prof. Akunyili\u2019s husband, Dr. Chike Akunyili, said
\nin a statement issued today in Awka, Anambra State.<\/p>\n
Dr. Akunyili thanked Nigerians for the great love they extended to Dora
\nboth in life and at death. He also expressed his family\u2019s appreciation to
\nPresident Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for the special valedictory session of
\nthe Federal Executive Council (FEC) held in honour of Dora.<\/p>\n
Dr. Akunyili advised anyone who has a tribute or testimonial in honour of

It would be recalled that Prof. (Mrs.) Akunyili, a former Director-General
\nof the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control
\n(NAFDAC), died last Saturday, June 7, after a two-year battle with cancer.<\/p>\n
Prof. (Mrs.) Akunyili, who was a delegate to the on-going National
