His Excellency, Hon. Seriake Dickson, Governor of Bayelsa State, has directed the formal engagement of the first batch of 1,100 Bayelsa youths into the Bayelsa volunteers by next week.
\nThis is sequel up on an earlier directive by the Governor to the management of the volunteers.
\nHanding down the engagement directive, Governor Dickson renewed his call on the volunteer administrators to organize a transparent recruitment process, stressing that, the manner of engagement will go a long way in determining the success of the volunteers.
\nA Government House statement also quotes the Governor as saying that, the level of success achieved by the initial 1,100 in the discharge of their functions, will also influence the Government\u2019s decision on the future size of the volunteers.
\nThe statement also urged the administrators of the volunteers and the personnel that will be engaged to always make discipline, hard work and sacrifice their watch words.<\/p>\n
