Two\u00a0policemen were on Wednesday shot dead by unknown gunmen suspected to be\u00a0members \u00a0of the Boko Haram Islamist sect.<\/p>\n
According to reports, the two policemen were attacked at a check point in Gubi Village, along Bauchi-Kano Road<\/p>\n
Commissioner of Police in the state, Muhammad Ladan said the two policemen died at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Bauchi, where they were rushed to after the attack.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe incident is currently being investigated with a view to unraveling the culprits,\u201d he said, urging the general public to complement the effort of the security agencies by reporting any suspicious movements around them.<\/p>\n
A team of well-armed Police personnel has barricaded the attacked patrol centre in a bid to bolster security in the area.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the \u00a0Joint Task Force in Kogi State has announced its arrest of three people suspected to have been connected with Monday night\u2019s attack on the Deeper Life Bible Church in Otite, Okene.<\/p>\n
