{"id":28757,"date":"2014-07-04T16:18:18","date_gmt":"2014-07-04T15:18:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=28757"},"modified":"2014-07-04T16:18:18","modified_gmt":"2014-07-04T15:18:18","slug":"cbn-sack-sanusi-withdraws-case-against-jonathan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/cbn-sack-sanusi-withdraws-case-against-jonathan\/","title":{"rendered":"CBN sack: Sanusi Withdraws Case Against Jonathan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>Immediate past Governor of the Central Bank and the Emir of Kano, Mohammed Sanusi II, today \u00a0formally withdrew his lawsuit challenging his removal as the governor of the Apex Bank.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>His lawyer, Abubakar Mahmoud, told the National Industrial Court that Mr Sanusi who is now the Emir of Kano wishes to withdraw his case against President Goodluck Jonathan and two other defendants in the suit.<\/p>\n<p>Counsel to the Federal Government, Mike Ozekhome, said they would not oppose the withdrawal but would wait till the other two cases by Sanusi pending at the Appeal Court and Federal High Court, are with drawn before he would advise his clients.<\/p>\n<p>The defendants did not oppose the request and the president of the court, Justice Babatunde Adejumo struck out the suit.<\/p>\n<p>Hearing was expected to continue in the suit, but the Emir requested that the suit be discontinued.<\/p>\n<p>The Federal Government on its part asked that the court should hear its motion challenging the ruling of the Federal High Court which declined jurisdiction in the suit but went ahead to transfer the case to the National Industrial Court.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Immediate past Governor of the Central Bank and the Emir of Kano, Mohammed Sanusi II, today \u00a0formally withdrew his lawsuit challenging his removal as the governor of the Apex Bank.&hellip;<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on wp_trim_excerpt --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on wp_trim_excerpt --><!-- AddThis Related Posts generic via filter on wp_trim_excerpt --><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":20990,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_lmt_disableupdate":"","_lmt_disable":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[17],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-28757","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-exclusive"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v26.8 -
