The Borno Government said on Thursday that it planned to partner with the Saudi-German Hospital, Jedda, Saudi Arabia, on health care delivery.<\/p>\n
Gov. Kashim Shettima made the plan known when he paid a courtesy visit to the management of the hospital in Jedda, a statement said in Maiduguri.<\/p>\n
The statement, signed by MalamIsa Gusau, the Special Adviser on Media and Communication to the Governor, quoted the governor as making the plan known.<\/p>\n
“Shettima expressed the desire of the government to seek cooperation with the hospital in three key areas,\u2019\u2019 the statement said.<\/p>\n
It said the plan involved the establishment of a satellite branch of the hospital in Maiduguri, training of doctors in the state\u00a0 and supply of vital equipment.<\/p>\n
The statement said the hospital was renowned for quality health care services which the state would like to tap from.<\/p>\n
“The governor said the state was willing to either erect new structures for the hospital to operate satellite services in Maiduguri or convert an existing structure for the purpose,\u2019\u2019 it\u00a0 said.<\/p>\n
Dr Muhammed Hablan, the Chief Executive of the hospital, thanked the governor for the visit and said a team of officials from the hospital would pay a visit to Maiduguri toward partnering with the state government, the statement added.\u00a0 (NAN)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
