{"id":29466,"date":"2014-07-25T22:50:10","date_gmt":"2014-07-25T21:50:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=29466"},"modified":"2014-07-25T22:50:10","modified_gmt":"2014-07-25T21:50:10","slug":"ready-apc-tribunal-ekiti-rec","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/ready-apc-tribunal-ekiti-rec\/","title":{"rendered":"We\u2019re ready for APC at tribunal -Ekiti REC"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"color: #262626; text-align: justify;\">Independent National Electoral Commission in Ekiti State has assured to cooperate in the prosecution of the petition before the Governorship Election Petition Tribunal in the State.<\/div>\n<div style=\"color: #262626; text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"color: #262626; text-align: justify;\">The Resident Electoral Commissioner, Alhaji Halilu Pai, gave the assurance during a telephone conversation with journalists on Friday in Ado-Ekiti.<\/div>\n<div style=\"color: #262626; text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"color: #262626; text-align: justify;\">The All Progressives Congress is challenging the victory of the Governor-elect and Peoples Democratic Party Governorship candidate, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, \u00a0in the June 21 poll.<\/div>\n<div style=\"color: #262626; text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"color: #262626; text-align: justify;\">INEC declared Fayose winner of the election ahead of the incumbent governor and candidate of the APC, Dr. Kayode Fayemi.<\/div>\n<div style=\"color: #262626; text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"color: #262626; text-align: justify;\">The three-man tribunal chaired by Justice Mohammed Sirajo on Wednesday granted an order for the INEC to allow the APC unfettered access to inspect electoral materials \u00a0used in the June 21 governorship election.<\/div>\n<div style=\"color: #262626; text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"color: #262626; text-align: justify;\">Pai said, \u201cThere is no cause for alarm. Immediately we got wind of the petition filed by APC, we contacted the Police and the State Security Service to beef up security around our warehouse.<\/div>\n<div style=\"color: #262626; text-align: justify;\"><\/div>\n<div style=\"color: #262626; text-align: justify;\">\u201cAnd I want to tell you now that the place is under serious security watch.
