{"id":29836,"date":"2014-08-05T12:02:47","date_gmt":"2014-08-05T11:02:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=29836"},"modified":"2014-08-05T12:02:47","modified_gmt":"2014-08-05T11:02:47","slug":"apc-calls-elechis-impeachment","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/news\/apc-calls-elechis-impeachment\/","title":{"rendered":"APC calls for Elechi&#8217;s impeachment"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>All Progressives Congress (APC) Tuesday asked members of the state House of Assembly to concentrate on impeaching the state governor Chief Martin Elechi for gross misconduct.<\/p>\n<p>APC said Elechi&#8217;s &#8220;incompetence, reckless borrowing, loss of focus and dismal performance&#8221; had foisted &#8220;starvation and deprivation&#8221; on the citizens of the state.<\/p>\n<p>Reacting to the lingering leadership crisis in the state Assembly, Ebonyi State APC secretary, Mr. Bernard Ebele, in a statement, advised the lawmakers to concentrate on impeaching Elechi.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Members of Ebonyi State House of Assembly should stop victimizing themselves and come together to enact laws that would move Ebonyi State forward. The most eligible person to be impeached is the Governor of Ebonyi State&#8221;, reasoned Ebele.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The axe of impeachment should descend on Elechi for incompetence, gross misconduct, reckless borrowing, loss of focus and dismal performance&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>He accused the governor of failing to complete any single project in nearly eight years.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Ochudo city is yet to be completed. International market is yet to be completed likewise Oferekpe water scheme.
