Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has said that All Progressives<\/span>
Congress<\/span>
Party will take over Abia State in 2015 following calls by the people for<\/span>
change<\/span>
from the present downturn in the fortune of Abia State in governance.<\/span>

Governor Okorocha made this Statement through his\u00a0 deputy, Prince Eze<\/span>
Madumere at a<\/span>
well attended stakeholders meeting of South East All Progressives Congress in<\/span>
Umuahia.<\/span>

Prince Madumere, called for unity purpose, sacrifice and necessary<\/span>
compromises to<\/span>
achieve peace and cohesion in the party especially in Abia State. He told<\/span>
the party<\/span>
faithful the need for them to work as a team, which he said is the needed<\/span>
tonic that<\/span>
will see them chase People’s Democratic Party away with their failed<\/span>
administrations.<\/span>

Continuing, he reminded them that Imo and Abia are sister States and that<\/span>
the five<\/span>
South Eastern States are one and\u00a0 wondered why others States should be<\/span>
lagging<\/span>
behind in growth and development. He promised them of Imo example, which<\/span>
he said is<\/span>
achievable with hard work and reaching out. He boasted that APC States<\/span>
have dwarfed<\/span>
other States of the parties with dwindling ideas in terms of performance and<\/span>
development.<\/span>

“Governor Okorocha who is synonymous with free education programmes from<\/span>
primary to<\/span>
tertiary level, massive infrastructural development and five star<\/span>
performances in<\/span>
every facets has also promised to throw his weight behind the party to<\/span>
achieve<\/span>
success in the South East in 2015 general elections,” said Madumere.<\/span>

He therefore assured the Abia chapter of the party to move on without any<\/span>
fear of<\/span>
intimidation since the have the people and the backing of Governor Owelle<\/span>
Rochas<\/span>
Okorocha and the entire leadership of the party.<\/span>

Earlier\u00a0 in the meeting, the National Auditor of All Progressives<\/span>
Congress, Chief<\/span>
Goerge Moghalu told the party faithful to go on sensitization of the<\/span>
people and win<\/span>
people for the party. He particularly said that the leader in the South<\/span>
East Owelle<\/span>
Rochas Okorocha has taken the lead in governance as no other States in the<\/span>
South<\/span>
East can boast of Governor Okorocha’s giant strides. He said he understood<\/span>
their<\/span>
challenges but should not be intimidated by anybody. They should stand up<\/span>
to be<\/span>
counted if really the want change, which is long over due in the South<\/span>
East and in<\/span>
Abia in Particular.<\/span>

Mr. Moghalu in emotional tone said he is particularly interested in Abia<\/span>
State<\/span>
because he has a history with the State. ” I was born here, brought up<\/span>
here, may<\/span>
parents are here and I had my education here. Things have fallen apart.<\/span>
Let us make<\/span>
hares while the sun shinee. Abia is a failed State and it is ripe for<\/span>
harvest for<\/span>
our great party, APC.”<\/span>

In the same vein, the National Vice Chairman, South East, Chief Emmanuel<\/span>
Eneukwu<\/span>
also reiterated the need to sell the product they have since all the APC<\/span>
States are<\/span>
doing far better that PDP States. He also used Governor Okorocha as a<\/span>
tactical<\/span>
example and\u00a0 assured them that the same police change can still be<\/span>
replicated in<\/span>
Abia and other South East States.<\/span>

Speaking further he assured them that the party is not unaware of the fact<\/span>
that some<\/span>
people have worked and sacrificed for the the party to come to the level<\/span>
is stands.<\/span>
He said such persons will always be remembered but called Fo accommodation<\/span>
of all<\/span>
since people is the nucleus of any vibrant political party.<\/span>

Others who spoke at the stakeholders meeting were the Deputy National<\/span>
Woman Leader,<\/span>
Helen Chika Adike, former Interim National Vice Chairman, South East, Dr.<\/span>
Anyim<\/span>
Nyerere, the South East Youth leader, Mr. Paul Chukwuma and so many other<\/span>
National<\/span>
officers including member of APC BoT, Sam Nkire, Ex-Officio, Nduka and<\/span>
other State<\/span>
