{"id":31144,"date":"2014-09-11T23:06:33","date_gmt":"2014-09-11T22:06:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=31144"},"modified":"2014-09-11T23:06:33","modified_gmt":"2014-09-11T22:06:33","slug":"jonathan-distances-self-modu-sheriff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/jonathan-distances-self-modu-sheriff\/","title":{"rendered":"Jonathan Distances Self From Modu Sheriff\u00a0"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"color: #141823; text-align: justify;\">Presidential spokesperson, Reuben Abati has dismissed news making the rounds that President Goodluck Jonathan is romancing alleged sponsor of Boko Haram, Modu Sheriff on his Twitter page.<\/p>\n<div style=\"color: #141823;\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Abati stated that the former Borno state governor was not on the official list of delegates that accompanied Jonathan to Chad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe claim that the President is \u201chobnobbing\u201d with the former Borno State Gov is totally erroneous and spurious.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cNames of key members of President\u2019s delegation to Chad were announced a day before the trip. As can be verified, that list never changed. The only other persons on the list were the President\u2019s aides, security personnel and journalists.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Abati then explained that Sheriff has longstanding interests in Chad and often spends a lot of time there. \u201cHe happened to be in Ndjamena at the time. He joined other Nigerians resident in Chad in coming to the airport to welcome President Jonathan.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cThe pictures which formed the basis of the bogus allegation were taken at the airport.
