A presidential aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, Mr. Sam<\/p>\n
Nda-Isaiah, will formally declare his intention to contest for the party\u2019s
\npresidential ticket on Tuesday, October 28.<\/p>\n
According to a statement by his campaign group, Sam4Nigeria, the
\ndeclaration will take place at the Idris Legbo Kutigi Conference Centre,
\nMinna, Niger State, at 11am.<\/p>\n
The Executive Director, Public Affairs of Sam4Nigeria, Ibrahim Tukur, said
\nafter over one year of consultations with family and friends, critical
\nstakeholders, different groups, communities and leaders across the
\ncountry, it was now time for Sam to formally step out.<\/p>\n
He said, \u201cOur country has never been in greater need for change. What came
\nout loud and clear during our consultative tours were people telling us
\nthat they were tired of change as a slogan; they need it as an action
\nword, now.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor the first time in the history of Nigeria, our great party, the APC,
\noffers change as an action word, a real possibility. The overwhelming
\nfeedback is that we also have an aspirant, Sam, who embodies the hopes and
\naspirations of party and country.<\/p>\n
Tukur added that, \u201cSam stands for big ideas about the country\u2019s future. At
\na time when the country is deeply divided he offers a strong unifying
\nmessage and generational connectedness. He is in touch.\u201d<\/p>\n
The statement said the public declaration would offer delegates, party
\nmembers and the public at large the opportunity to deepen the conversation
\nabout the country\u2019s future with Sam and be a part of the train for change.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s time for all those who are truly feed up with 15 wasted years of the
\nruling PDP to stand up with Sam and be counted,\u201d Tukur said.<\/p>\n
