The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) says it is working in earnest to secure<\/p>\n
a better future for the teeming population of Nigerian youths.<\/p>\n
The party\u2019s National Chairman, Alhaji Adamu Muazu, made the statement on
\nWednesday in Asaba when he commissioned the new state PDP secretariat.<\/p>\n
He said the party was committed to the transformation of the nation.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe PDP, as a united party, is working hard to endure we secure a better
\nfuture for the youth of this nation.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are committed to actualising the transformation agenda of our
\nPresident, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, for the overall development of our great
\nnation, Nigeria,\u201d Muazu said.<\/p>\n
The PDP chairman lauded Gov. Emmanuel Uduaghan and the leadership of the
\nparty in Delta for the achievements recorded in manpower and
\ninfrastructure development of the state.<\/p>\n
He also commended the PDP in the state for building the new secretariat,
\nwhich he described as a \u201cmagnificent edifice\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis accomplishment is a manifestation of your unalloyed support and
\ndedication to our common objective to build a great and united party,\u201d
\nMuazu said.<\/p>\n
He said Delta was a great and major partner of the PDP in the party\u2019s
\nquest to deliver dividends of democracy to the people of the nation.<\/p>\n
According to Muazu: \u201d I am sure you all know that Delta state is PDP and
\nPDP is Delta. The two are inseparable partners, working for the good of
\nthe nation.<\/p>\n
\u201cI believe by the special grace of God, the PDP will win the forthcoming
\nlocal government elections in Delta by 100 per cent.\u201d<\/p>\n
Earlier, the state chairman, Chief Peter Nwaoboshi had extolled the
\nleadership qualities of Muazu, whom he described as a detribalised leader.<\/p>\n
He said: \u201cWe welcome you, our national chairman to Asaba, to commission
\nour new party secretariat and also to hand over party flags to our
\ncandidates for the forthcoming local government elections.<\/p>\n
\u201cThrough your effort, our great party has remained formidable and united.
\nOur opposition parties are now in disarray.\u201d<\/p>\n
Nwaoboshi said the party built the secretariat with the support of Gov.
\nEmmanuel Uduaghan, whom he described as a great leader of the party in the
\nstate.<\/p>\n
In his welcome address, Gov. Uduaghan assured the national chairman of the
\nstate government\u2019s support in the actualisation of the transformation
\nagenda of President Goodluck Jonathan.<\/p>\n
He said the party in the state was fully committed to the objectives of
\nthe PDP in building a great and united Nigeria.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe PDP in Delta is a very strong force. We are committed and ever
\nsupportive of our great party to achieve success come 2015.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are waxing stronger and I will like to assure you of our support and
\nloyalty as you continue to lead our great party for the good of the
\nnation.
\nThe News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that high points of the event
\nincluded the official cutting of tape to commission the new secretariat by
\nMuazu.<\/p>\n
The PDP chairman also performed the symbolic handing over of party flags
\nto its 25 candidates for the forthcoming local government elections in
