Governor Godswill Akpabio has heeded to the clarion calls by the<\/p>\n
people of Akwa Ibom North-West Senatorial District to contest for the
\nsenatorial seat in 2015 under Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).<\/p>\n
Akpabio, who stated this Wednesday at Ukana in Essien Udim LGA when
\nthe youths of Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial District presented him
\nwith PDP Senatorial nomination form for the forthcoming PDP primaries
\nat a reception organized by Esop Mbong Ikpaisong Afud Annang said \u201cI
\nhave been under pressure by the people of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial
\nDistrict to represent them as a Senator in 2015. I want to say that I
\nhave accepted the call to serve my people\u201d.<\/p>\n
Akpabio commended Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District youths for their
\nshow of love and support to his administration, saying that \u201cAkwa Ibom
\nState is a peaceful place because youths have shunned criminality.
\nYouths have supported government efforts in the State and this is why
\nwe are able to build a state of equal opportunity for all the youths\u201d.<\/p>\n
The representative of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District youths, Chief
\nMoses Akpan while presenting the nomination to the to the Governor
\ncommended Governor Akpabio for giving Akwa Ibom State a voice at the
\nnational level.<\/p>\n
Akpan said \u201cthe Governor still has capacity to do more for the
\nSenatorial District, Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria. This is why we have
\ndecided to sent him to represent us at the Senate in 2015. We are sure
\nthat he will give us effective representation and make our State
\nproud\u201d.<\/p>\n
Earlier, the President of Esop Mbong Ikpaisong Afud Annang, Obong
\nJames Obosi had thanked Akpabio, who hails from the tribe for giving
\nhis effective leadership and uncommon transformation to Akwa Ibom
\nState.<\/p>\n
Obong Obosi said Esop Mbong Ikpaisong Afud Annang had earlier met and
\npassed a resolution, urging Akpabio to vie for Senate in 2015 in Ikot
