{"id":32595,"date":"2014-10-29T04:52:46","date_gmt":"2014-10-29T03:52:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/?p=32595"},"modified":"2014-10-29T04:53:32","modified_gmt":"2014-10-29T03:53:32","slug":"needful-resign-speaker-pdp-tells-tambuwal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pointblanknews.com\/pbn\/exclusive\/needful-resign-speaker-pdp-tells-tambuwal\/","title":{"rendered":"Do the needful, resign as Speaker, PDP tells Tambuwal"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1414558401706_2209\" style=\"color: #000000; text-align: justify;\">As expected, \u00a0 leadership of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today \u00a0asked Aminu Tambuwal to do the \u201cneedful\u201d resign as Speaker, since his new party, APC, is in the minority in the House.<\/div>\n<div id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1414558401706_2150\" style=\"color: #000000; text-align: justify;\">The PDP National working Committee (NWC) met with the PDP leaders in the House at an emergency session Tuesday shortly after the Speaker announced his defection at plenary.By implication, the ruling party expects Mr. Tambuwal to relinquish his position since the PDP is the majority party.<\/p>\n<p>A statement issued by National Publicity secretary, Olisa Metuh, after the meeting reads:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has met with PDP leaders in the House of Representatives concerning the defection of the Speaker, His Excellency, Hon. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal to the APC.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1414558401706_2215\" style=\"color: #000000; text-align: justify;\">\u201cAfter a thorough consideration of the matter, the NWC came to a conclusion that the Hon. Speaker, as a responsible elected officer, knows full well what is needful and honourable of him since his new party is in the minority.<\/div>\n<div id=\"yui_3_16_0_1_1414558401706_2216\" style=\"color: #000000; text-align: justify;\">\u201cWe are not unmindful of the fact that Hon.
