Rethink Nigeria observes with delight the appointment of Chief. Raymond Dokpesi Jr, as the new Chairman of DAAR Communication Plc. We wish to congratulate him on this very important appointment as Chairman of a pioneer media organization in Nigeria, with regards to the establishment of Raypower Radio and African Independent Television (AIT) which is the first privately owned Radio and TV stations in Nigeria respectively. These media outlets have contributed immensely to the development and growth of civil rule in Nigeria, while keeping Nigerians well informed in all spheres of national life through objective coverage of events in the country. We commend the Board and Management of DAAR Communications Plc for the bold step towards repositioning the Nigerian electronic media by this appointment.<\/p>\n
Mr. Raymond Dokpesi Jr, has set a very good example for Nigerian Youths when he distinguished himself as a focused, articulate and result driven youth leader while serving in organizations known to champion and fight for a better deal for Nigerian youths. In his capacity as renowned Youth Leader, he helped to organize and bring together the various youth groups across Nigeria to better articulate a common position to the Nigerian political leadership during this period. Furthermore, the various groups which he helped to nurture has given birth to some of the most focused and result oriented youth advocacy groups in Nigeria such as, Rethink Nigeria.<\/strong><\/p>\n We therefore wish to implore Chief. Raymond Dokpesi Jr as he takes over the mantle, to lead DAAR Communication Plc on the path of focusing more on youth oriented programmes and projects. Such as alleviation of poverty at all levels, issues related to eradication of unemployment, and promotion of educational programmes targeted at empowering\u00a0 Nigerian Youths, through creation of enabling environment to enable them succeed and contribute their quota to national development.<\/p>\n To this end, we on behalf of the youths of Nigeria wishes to express our delight on the appointment of a very competent, innovative, young and youth-friendly Chairman of DAAR Communications Plc. In doing this, the Board and Management of DAAR Communication have succeeded in conveying that the organization is committed to the continuous advancement and participation of Nigerian Youths in all aspects of national life.
