It was a bleak Sunday for the congregation of former pop star turned cleric, Pastor Kris Okotie when he announced the break-up in his marriage of four years to his second wife, Stephanie.<\/p>\n
In 2008, Okotie, 50, divorced his first wife of many years Tina. She has since relocated to the United states.<\/p>\n
The split was reportedly caused by alleged infidelity on the part of the flamboyant pastor who was Presidential candidate for the Fresh Party.<\/p>\n
The bad news which enveloped the Household of God Church, Oregun, Lagos stunned members as they stood still and speechless for seconds after he dropped the bombshell shortly to the close of\u00a0 Sunday service few hours ago.<\/p>\n
The Sunday service which coincided with the June\u2019s brethren\u2019s\u2019 birthday celebration had recorded soul lifting songs and dances interspersed with fervent prayers, ministration and cutting of the cake. Okotie, in a sparkling white short-sleeve suit suddenly drew the attention of the church. \u201cStephanie and I are no longer married. We have separated. You can see she\u2019s not in church today. It\u2019s due to irreconcilable differences and you should please respect our wishes at this time because there is no going back.\u201d<\/p>\n
