\nMuslim is not elected President in 2015.<\/p>\n
Attahiru Abdulkareem posted on his Facebook page ” Truth is bitter.
\nPeople like you support GEJ are the one (sic) that don’t want dis country
\nto progress. U all should (sic), locked in a room and bomb you all.”<\/p>\n
The above and many more are what has become of the 2015 Presidential
\nelection campaign as the country experiences a major polarization along
\nethnic and religious lines.<\/p>\n
Sources told Pointblanknews.com that hate speeches and anti Christian
\nmessages against a Christian Presidency freely described as \u201cinfidel\u201d have
\nbeen recorded in tapes and circulated to Muslims in the North.<\/p>\n
The hate messages are being listened to by artisans, traders and people
\nvisitng places such as markets, Mosques and religious houses,
\nPointblanknews.com correspondents report.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt looks like history is about to repeat itself in the north, as the
\nclouds gather over both northerners and southerners in the north east and
\nnorth west, who are rooting for President Goodluck Jonathan,\u201d our

According to our reporters, \u201cIt is reminiscent of the violence that
\nerupted in 2011 after General Muhammadu Buhari rejected the results.\u201d<\/p>\n
It would be recalled that in 2011, Armed youths went from house to house
\nin murderous rage, hacking, looting and burning. Mostly affected were
\nsoutherners, including several members of the NYSC on election duty.<\/p>\n
The rising apprehension has even forced the APC to issue a statement
\ncalling for violence free polls. Lai Mohammed on Monday said such
\napprehension is inimical to the conduct of a successful poll.<\/p>\n
Unlike 2011, today social media is being used to spread such threats and
\nhate. Top government officials of northern stock who back Jonathan are
\nbeing sent very vile text messages.<\/p>\n
A governor told Vanguard under anonymity that some of the texts came from
\nhigh ranking fulani senators and Members of the House.
\nPosting Jonathan s flyers or campaigning openly in offices , markets and
\nrestaurants are not encouraged.<\/p>\n
Interestingly the fear among pro Buhari folks in the north of southern
\nstock is, how would the rampaging youths know they voted Buhari.<\/p>\n
Some who spoke with pointblanews.com said some of those who lost lives and
\nproperty actually voted Buhari.<\/p>\n
Top leaders like the Sultan of Sokoto, the Emir of Kano, and the popular
\ncleric, Sheikh Gumi have not been spared. They weirdly assume Gumi s
\ncritic of Buhari, Emir’s visit to the Villa, and for the Sultan to blame
\nthe north for Boko Haram, were endorsements of Jonathan.<\/p>\n
Even though so many believe Buhari is not an ethnic bigot, not disposed to
\nsharia, and not prone to violence, his body language has not encouraged
\nthe skeptics.<\/p>\n
Few moths ago he said, ” in sha Allah, by 2015 something will happen.
\nThey either conduct a free and fair election, or if what happened in 2011
\nshould happen, again in 2015, the dog and the baboon would be soaked in
\nblood”<\/p>\n
Some who spoke with our correspondents say southerners are leaving , while
\nthose who travel led for the holidays are staying back till after
\nelections.<\/p>\n
An igbo trader in Gombe told our correspondent ” is so terrible here, two
\ndays back they nearly killed Gombe state governor, they casted stone on
\nhis convey, he has to take refuge in an emir’s place for 3
\nhour……reason is that why should he campaign for GEJ. Buhari and his
\nboys are pushing the southerners for reprisal attack.<\/p>\n
