Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon Emeka Ihedioha who is also
\nthe governorship candidate of People\u2019s Democratic Party in Imo state,
\nclarified at the weekend that he is the authentic candidate of the party
\nin the gubernatorial election slated for February 28, next month<\/p>\n
He spoke against the background of erroneous claims and protests
\norchestrated by Senator Ifeanyi Ararume and a few other defeated
\ngovernorship aspirants over his candidature.<\/p>\n
Hon Ihedioha who noted that Senator Ararume conceded victory to him at
\nGrass Hoppers International Stadium, venue of the primary election, when
\nthe result was announced by the chairman Imo state Guber Primary Election
\nPanel, Terngu Sergba wondered why he turned round in an attempt to
\ndiscredit a well organized primary<\/p>\n
He accused the All Progressives Congress government in the state of
\ninstigating the defeated aspirants to create crisis in Imo PDP.<\/p>\n
Hon Ihedioha made these remarks while commissioning the Umulezie- Mpam
\nroad project in Ahiazu Mbaise Local Council of Imo state which he
\nattracted to the people through Niger Delta Development Commission. The
\nevent took place at Ihite Afoukwu Civil Centre in Mbaise.<\/p>\n
He adjudged his victory at the primary as a triumph for all indigenes of
\nImo, appealing to all sons and daughters of Imo to rally around him to
\ndislodge the \u201cbad governance of Governor Rochas Okorocha\u201d<\/p>\n
He said:\u201dGovernor Rochas represents bad governance. I want to make a
\ndifference in Imo, restore good governance in the state and set the state
\non the path of economic prosperity and infrastructural development\u201d<\/p>\n
He denounced the rot in the education system in the country noting that he
\nwould reform education sector in the state through qualitative free
\neducation
\nTraditional rulers, politicians and the elders of Ahiazu Mbaise local
\ncouncil used the opportunity offered by the event to endorse the
\ncandidature of Hon Ihedioha<\/p>\n
